Mahoning Dispatch, Fri, 4 Apr 1941
"Henry Neff Starr died at his home in Boardman last Thursday afternoon following an illness of a month with heart complications. He had suffered several strokes in recent years. Mr. Starr was born in Boardman township just a short distance from the Canfield township line on Sept. 24, 1851, celebrating his 89th birthday last fall. He was very active for his years and took a keen interest in affairs. As a young man he lived two miles east of Canfield, later moving to the residence he built at Starr Corners on the Boardman road. He was a farmer and was widely known throughout the county, retiring 28 years ago when the family built a home at Boardman. Mr. Starr could recall many interesting happenings of early days and stories of pioneer settlers. On Jan. 1, 1879, he married Miss Sara Moherman, who died in 1936. Surviving are two daughters, Misses Stella and Maud at home, and a son, Clifford, of Lancaster, Calif; also two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services held from his home Monday afternoon were conducted by Rev. W. J. Hodder and burial made in Canfield cemetery."
