A daughter of August and Sarah Scott Anderson, she married Carl S. Burnside in 1921. He died Nov. 17, 1931. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Julie Ann Burnside, one brother, and two sisters. Surviving are one son, Terry, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She attended college in Hawaii. She was an elementary school teacher in Hawaii and then in Galesburg, IL from 1911 to 1920. Graveside services Monday at Hope Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the National Tuberculosis Center.
