Gridley - Marjorie R. Schlipf, 91, of 119 W. Tenth St., Gridley, passed away at 1:18 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal.
Marjorie was a member of the Gridley Apostolic Christian Church, where her funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 6, 2007. Church ministers will officiate. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, El Paso, and for one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.
Mrs. Schlipf was born Nov. 9, 1915, in Carlock, a daughter of George and Emma Zimmerman Romersberger. She married Elmer W. Schlipf on March 15, 1953, in Carlock. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1992.
Survivors include two sons, Edward (Peggy) Schlipf of Lancaster, Calif., and Steve (Renee) Schlipf of Gridley; one daughter, Kathy (Ed) Wyss of Eureka; one brother, Bill (Lucille) Romersberger of Gridley; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
She was a homemaker, farm wife, loving and unselfish mother and grandmother.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to any charity of the donor's choice.
