In the normalcy of life, humanity clings to its comprehension of the things in which it understands. Then, in a miraculous and divine offering God chooses to allow us a glimpse of His creative beauty. An offering so divinely conceived that it transcends our capacity and challenges us to be better to ourselves and others . We, as a family were gifted with a love in Ethel that taught us selflessness, it was unconditional in its essence and exampled to us what every person should desire to be. Ethel was and is the innocence of this family, she taught us that laughter is free and that giving costs you nothing. Her laughter softened our days, her smile granted us peace in its purity. Her love of simple things, her enjoyment of kids and animals, and her favorite snacks, cheetos and coke. She found comfort in music, always responding to George even on cloudy days. She takes nothing from us in her leaving, instead leaving us with the truest legacy of the power of true love. She is preceded in death by: Herman and Evalena Jones, parents. Lamar Jones, Brother, Sisters Peggy Smith and spouse, James and Clara Blankenship and her surviving spouse Paul. She is survived by her sisters Patricia LeDoux, Julie Thomas and spouse, Edward and Evelyn Havard and spouse, James. Many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, March 16, 2020 from 1:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will begin at 2:00p.m. with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
