Mary Annie Brown married first Sylvester Knight but divorced him when my granddaddy was a baby ca. 1906-07. She then married Charlie Massengale and had three children by him. She worked as domestic labor and died tragically from pernicious anemia. It is a mystery to this writer as to why she is not mentioned on Ennis Charles M Massengale's memorial page nor why she is not buried in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery where he's buried. Anyone who would know, sadly, is no longer with us.

Oakwood Cemetery is well kept. She is buried alongside her parents just to the east of the No. 1 road into the cemetery in Jacksboro.
