Albert G. Schoeberlein, 92, passed away in his sleep early Saturday morning at James Square. He was a life resident of Syracuse and Liverpool, New York, a Navy veteran of World War II and a 68-year member of Crossroads Masonic Lodge No. 520. Albert apprenticed and worked as a wood pattern maker for much of his career. His interests and talents were varied; he enjoyed poetry, art, woodworking, and was an avid golfer and outdoorsman.

Albert passed many of these skills along to his surviving children, Kay (James) Kraushaar of Burlington, Vermont, Warren (Kimberly) Schoeberlein of Baldwinsville, New York, and Michael (Donna) Schoeberlein of Baldwinsville, New York. Albert was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Mary, in April 2003 and his grandson, Evan, in July 2008. He is also survived by his sister, Verna Cook of Queensburg, New York; four grandchildren, Kristine Kraushaar (Aaron Tyler) of Boston, Massachusetts, Eric Schoeberlein of Boston, Massachusetts, Brad Kraushaar of McCall, Idaho, and Marc Schoeberlein of Baldwinsville, New York; his great-granddaughter, Quinn Tyler of Boston, Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 18, at Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Maureen's Hope Foundation, 6301 Mustang Road, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
