Zona attended Waynesboro High School and she was a lifelong member of Solomon’s United Church of Christ. She is survived by her two daughters, Staci (husband Scott) Pheil and Kelly Upperman, all of Chambersburg; two sisters, Illeana Stevens of PA and Ethel Day of TX. She will also be greatly missed by her furry granddaughter, Lilli Mae Pheil. Aside from her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, March 12, in Solomon’s United Church of Christ 1594 Swamp Fox Rd, Chambersburg, PA, with Rev. Peter Emig officiating. Interment will follow in Grindstone Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior the service.
