Mr. Miller, 78, died May 23 at Helena Regional Medical Center. He was a farmer, a native of Red Bay, Ala., and a member of the Church of God. The son of L.V. and Ida Creekmore Miller.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Miller, of Crumrod; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Huggins of Apopka, Fla., Mrs. Charlene Hall of Mellwood, and Mrs. Lisa Newson of Crumrod; four sons, Luther W. Miller of Crumrod; and Sammy Miller, both of Mellwood; Bobby Miller of Hamilton, Ala., and Thomas Miller of Crossett; two sisters, Mrs. Esterene Smith of West Helena and Mrs. Marietta Cooper of Ravenden, two brothers, J. C. Miller of Wabash and V. C. Miller of Elaine, 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Don Speck, John Hall III, Elgin Newsome, Terry Kemp, Bud Dillinger, and Thomas Miller. Honorary pallbeares were Dr. Johnny Paine, Jessie Laxton, Jerdy Lambert, and Frelan Roberts Sr.

Funeral service for William Edward Miller of Crumrod was conducted Tues. afternoon at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dickie G. Daniels officiated. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park.
