1898 Pittsburgh City Deaths
- Living at 450 East Ohio Street, Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA - 3rd ward
- Age 58, laborer, from Germany
- Died from a self inflicted shot in brain
- City death register states that he is buried in Shaffer's Cemetery. But, I can't find such a cemetery, in Allegheny County - so I have entered him into Uniondale where his wife and daughter are buried. I did find very small cemeteries by that name in Franklin, Venango and in Butler County - but does not seem that he would be buried there. If someone knows about the correct Shaffer's cemetery, I will move him. Thinking more than likely, it was a error on the Pittsburgh city death register.
