She had a strong faith and enjoyed singing hymns, which she knew by heart. Doris would often participate in the activities at Park Place where she had made many friends. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory four sons, Larry (Sandra) Lager, Thom (Susan) Lager, Dave (Mary) Lager and Michael (Kathy) Lager; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, along with her life-long best friend, Ruth Graves. She was also preceded in death by nine siblings, Herbert, Edward, Ada, Irene, Lydia, Albert, Carl, William, and Erwin.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at noon at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Muskegon. Visitation with her family will take place at the church one hour before the service. Memorials may be made to Park Place Assisted Living (Activities Fund) c/o the funeral home.
