Harry C. Altare, 4132 Eaton, Kansas City, Kansas, died Saturday at a nursing home in Olathe. He was born in Kansas City and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Altare was a baker and driver for Rushton Bakery 43 years before he retired in 1960. He was a member of the Roanoke United Presbyterian Church. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Nila Billings Miller, Olathe; a sister, Mrs. Glorena Spangler, Kansas City; two grandchildren and a great-grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the church. The family suggests contributions to the Wyandotte County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
