Paul Norman Aiken, of Gilkey Road, West Middlesex, died at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. He was 79. Born April 29, 1936, in Shenango Township to Clyde Presley and Margaret Eleanor Gilkey Aiken, he married the former Eleanora Jean "Nora" Brown on June 15, 1957. He graduated from Hickory High School in 1954. Paul was a member of Kedron Lodge 389, Free and Accepted Masons; and for more than 50 years of the former Wilmington Grange. He was a self-employed farmer who worked for 17 years at Koppers as a foreman and then for Trinity. He retired from Trinetics. Survivors include his wife Nora, of the residence; and one daughter, Connie F. White (Ronald), New Wilmington; two sons, Wesley Paul Aiken (Betty), West Middlesex; and David H. Aiken (Carol), New Wilmington; and three sisters, Mary Hatton (Arthur), Hermitage; Jane Campbell (Michael), LaGuna Woods, Calif.; and a stepsister, Eileen Hart, Phoenix; five grandchildren, Ronnie and Ryan White (Miranda), Becky Ballard (Josh), and Matthew Aiken (Kate) and Lena Aiken. Three great-grandchildren, Adam and Caleb Ballard and Riley White complete the family. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Clyde Aiken; his stepfather, Robert G. Hunter, who he so respected; a brother, Robert Aiken; and a half sister, Catherine Eve; a half brother, Wayne Aiken; and a stepbrother, Robert Hunter. Memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon Presbyterian Church, 2090 Mercer-West Middlesex Road, Mercer PA 16137; or Mercer County Area Agency on Aging, 220 N. Buhl Farm Dr., Hermitage, PA 16148.
