Her burial place is believed to be unmarked at Taylor's Chapel Cemetery near Freetown, Indiana. Michael's step-mother was Rachel Amanda "Mandy" Williams Bowman. They raised the son of Michael's sister, Sarah Bowman Pasley. Sarah died at the age of 19, leaving her infant, John Henry Pasley.
