Riley, age 81, was the son of Melvin A. and Pearl Roberta (Heston) Timmons. He was drafted into the US Army in 1959 where he obtained his G.E.D. He married Madalyn (Mickey) McNeill on July 15, 1955. He married Darlene Wilhelm in 1981 but later divorced. He married Della Medina. He was preceded in death by his second wife, his parents, and his siblings, Melvin Jr. and Florence. Survivors include his daughter, Char-Ree Cozart, four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Shirley Nance, Marcia Aubert, Gary Timmons, Barbara Timmons, Judy Broesch, Sharon Elke, and Karen Woodall. Graveside services were held at Wamego City Cemetery.
