Virginia Poe went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 8, 2020, reaching the age of 88. She leaves behind a sister, Elsie York and a brother Bobby York (Katy) of Monticello, Kentucky and a host of nieces and nephews, along with her stepdaughter, Brenda Poe.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Osbin and Ernestine York, her first husband, John Hayes, and their son, Johnny. A 2nd husband, Estil Poe, along with her siblings, Elgie York, William York, Tommy York, Alvin York, and James York. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Rose, that enjoyed lap time and her beautiful bird, Chipper, that sang to her daily.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Virginia will be laid to rest with a graveside ceremony at the Elk Spring Cemetery Shelter in Monticello, KY with her nephew, Brother Ed Norris officiating. The service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1 pm at the Elk Spring Cemetery Shelter.

Virginia will be missed and was loved dearly by her family and friends and of course, her pets. Fly high with the angels sweet Lady.
