Bob brought his family to San Diego, CA during WWII to find employment. He ended up working for Ryan Aeronautical Company for over 30 years. He and his wife, Frances, bought one of the first tract homes in La Jolla in 1946.

Bob was a very social person and every person he met became his friend. He loved dancing with his wife, especially to "Mack the Knife" and would every Friday would bring Frances a rose he'd purchase on the way home from work.

One of his greatest joys was to watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. He'd often take his daughter on a drive after dinner to the ice cream shop and then they'd park at the beach and watch Mother Nature do her thing.
