Florence M. Travitz, 85, of Harrisburg, died Saturday, February 29, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Elizabethville and was the daughter of the late Homer and Verna Hoke.

Mrs. Travitz was a retired Supervisor with the former Stateman Insurance Company.

She was a member of the former Lakeside Lutheran Church, the Garden Club of Harrisburg, Insurance Women of Harrisburg, and volunteered with the Harrisburg Symphony.

Mrs. Travitz enjoyed bowling, golf, and classical music.

She was predeceased by her husband: John R. Travitz; her sisters: Marie Smith and Pauline Jury; and, her brothers: Clair Hoke, Allen Hoke, Ralph Hoke, George Hoke, David Hoke.

Mrs. Travitz is survived by her sister: Elma Harder of Harrisburg; several nieces; nephews; great- nieces; and, great-nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 05, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 6011 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg. Bishop Michael J. Scalzi will be officiating. A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 09:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
