Stricken While Milking Carmichael Hill Man Dies
Stricken with heart disease while milking his cows Friday evening, John E. Platt, 62, a well known farmer of Carmichael Hill, town of Western, died before his sons could bring assistance from a neighboring farm.
Mr. Platt had suffered from asthma and rheumatism for several years and Dr. H. J. Teller, coroner, who was called, pronounced death due to natural causes.

Four sons and one daughter survive: Bennie E., Earl, Johnnie R., and Kenneth Platt of North Western and Mrs. Thomas Burns, Rome; also a stepson, Willard Teller, Western; and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. I. A. Webster, Rome; Mrs. William P. Griffiths, Boonvllle; Mrs. Esther Moyer, Rome; George Platt Alder Creek, and several grandchildren.
