Sonny was born on November 14, 1957, in Holland, Texas, to the late Alvarie and Edward Balusek Sr. He spent his days traveling, working as a low voltage specialist. Sonny was an avid builder and racer of anything on wheels. He loved to hunt and fish. He was a dog lover and jokester. Sonny was a loving husband and father with a great sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sallie Kay Balusek.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Moreno, of Austin; daughters: Shannon Keaveny and her husband, Jamie, Elizabeth Balusek Lunberg and her husband, Trent, Callie Lunberg and her husband, Travis, and Jodie Moreno; grandchildren: Dustin, Brooklyn, Hope, James, Trent, Tuesday, Tensleigh, Arianna, Savannah, Mariah, Alyssa, Brandon, Cassandra, Alexander, and Ana; great-grandchildren: Jake, Nate, Joseph, Xander, and Michael; and the mother of his children, Lisa Balusek.
