Mrs. Anna Mable McCool
, 88, of Pineville, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri, after a recent decline in health.

Anna entered this life on July 5, 1931, in rural McDonald County Missouri, born to the late Orval and Blanche (sic) [Blanch] (Akehurst) Lewis. She was raised and attended school in Jane, Missouri.

On March 31, 1949, she was united in marriage to Kenneth McCool and to this union two children were born. In 1959, they moved their family to Twin Falls, Idaho, returning home to Pineville in 1969.

She retired from the McDonald County School District in their Food Service Division in 1993. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, embroidery projects, camping and family gatherings. Anna attended the Whittenburg Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty-seven years, Kenneth McCool on October 7, 2006; a son, Trenton McCool; and four brothers, John Henry, Carl, Lonnie, Teddy and Ray Lewis.

Anna is survived by her daughter, June Hilton and husband, Verlys, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; two grandchildren, Kiera Cummings of Bellevue, Nebraska and Chayleigh McCool of Pineville, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Kylie Batson and Kaylee and Callista Cummings; a brother, Frankie Lewis and wife, DeeDee, of Pineville; three sisters, Ruth Drake of Twin Falls, Idaho, Irene Coddington and husband, Bill, of Ft. Sumner, New Mexico and Carla Drew and husband, Bob, of Hiwassee, Arkansas; a sister in-law, GiGi Lewis of Pineville; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Graveside funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Wardlaw Cemetery in Avoca, Arkansas with Jim Armstrong officiating.

Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Curtis Lewis, James Lewis, Wayne Lewis, Donald Lewis, Rex McCool and Clay Robertson.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
