Leonard F. Agneta, 59, devoted husband of Julia R. Harrington, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, October 8, 2009. Leonard was born in Cambridge, November 30, 1949, the loving son of Joseph F. and Ann T. (Traveis) Agneta of Somerville. He was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School Class of 1968. In 1970, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a SP4 until being honorably discharged in 1972. He then pursued his education at Bentley College for two years. Leonard resided in Beverly Farms before moving to Peabody in 1999. Leonard was employed for 33 years as a systems expert with the telephone company retiring from Verizon in 2003. In addition to the telephone company, he was also a licensed Real Estate Agent and member of the Massachusetts Real Estate Association. Leonard was family oriented, warmhearted and loved being around children. As hobbies he enjoyed gardening, cooking, and traveling.
