STATE COLLEGE - Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Rose Marie Adams, 90, on Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Father John Fischer officiating.
Mrs. Adams, a resident of Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, State College, and formerly of Osceola Mills, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at 5:10 p.m. at the nursing center.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received Sunday, Jan. 31, from 5-8 p.m. at Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills.
The Rosary will be recited Sunday, Jan. 31, at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born April 12, 1919, at Hawk Run, she was a daughter of Henry and Mary (Richards) Blake.
She was a homemaker.
On Sept. 29, 1935, at Hawk Run, she wed Frank S. Adams, who died April 22, 1996.
Surviving are three daughters, Josephine Shaw and her husband, James, of Bellefonte, Frances Daugherty and her husband, Leo, of Savanna, Ga., and Deborah Collins and her companion, Charles Loesch, of Centre Hall; and four sons, Frank J. Adams and his wife, Annette, of Edison, N.J., John F. Adams of Toms River, N.J., Albert Adams and his wife, Marylin, and Robert A. Adams and his wife, Elaine, all of Osceola Mills.
Also surviving are 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Virginia Jones of Westland, Mich.; and one brother, Valentine "Spark" Blake and his wife, Tomasine, of Detroit, Mich.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Cowfer; two sons, James Adams and Joseph Adams; two sisters, Gertrude McCoy and Jane Folmar; and three brothers, Hank Blake, Joseph Blake and Charles Blake.
