Sarah Thompson Jackson was the second child and second daugther of John JACKSON and Elizabeth McCartney JACKSON of Armstrong Co., PA. She was named for her maternal grandmother. She was an older sister to Gen. Samuel McCartney Jackson who was the maternal grandfather of actor Jimmy Stewart.
