Graveside Services for Bertie M. Foster will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 15, 2008 at the Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, Oklahoma. The Reverend David Mendenhall will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Viewing will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., no viewing on Sunday, and on Monday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Bertie M. Foster was born in Dodge City, Kansas on January 11, 1932 to Edward K. and Anna (Sperling) Kusch. She passed away September 11, 2008, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid, Oklahoma.
Bertie lived in Dodge City and moved to Meade, Kansas with her family. The family moved to Fairview in 1936. Bertie graduated from Fairview High School in 1949. She worked as a hostess and waitress. She Married Jack Baldwin in Wichita, Kansas and to this union were born two boys, Danny and Tommy. She later married Charles Dent in California. While in California, she worked with marionettes and was one of the best puppet masters on television. She was a member of the Baptist Church in California. After Charlie died, she moved to Okeene, Oklahoma where she met and married Ron Foster. Following Ron’s death, she moved to Enid where she lived until her passing.

Bertie is survived by one son, Danny Baldwin; five sisters, Louise Pickering of Little River, Kansas; Diana Stackle of Porterville, California; Mary Ann Baum of San Luis Obispo, California; Elsie Lamle of Meno, Oklahoma; Amanda Rowe of Boise, Idaho; five grandchildren; companion Jerel Davis of Enid and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers; Ted Kusch, Abe Kusch, and Edward Kusch; one sister, Goldie Kusch and one son, Tommy Baldwin.
