COLUMBUS, GA: Lists of People, 1828-1852, and Sexton's Reports to 1866 by Mary Jane Galer (published 2000), on page 224 says Dr. Tichnor's child died age 3 (cause of death not reported during this quarter) and buried May 10, 1861 (from April 1 to July 1, 1861, Sexton report, presented April 1, 1861). John H. Martin’s history of Columbus, Volume 2, p.147 says (apparently from a newspaper mortuary notice) a Child of Dr. Tichnor died on May 9, 1861
1860 census of Shingle Hill District in Muscogee County, GA, Dwelling 149, Household 149 says F. O. Ticknor, male age 36 born in GA, a Physician holding real estate valued at $5,000 and personal estate valued at $10,000, with Rosa Lee Ticknor female age 28 born VA, George Ticknor male age 5 born GA, Douglas Ticknor male age 7 born GA, and Mariah Ticknor female age 3 born GA.
This grave evidently has no inscribed marker. Presumed to be in the family lot, which is in the Old Cemetery section, Lot 102 of Section H in Dolores Autry's Historic Linwood Cemetery book, edited by Dowd and others, Volume 3, pp. 44-45
