He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Byrne on Jan. 13, 1886 in Pawnee City and to this union were born 9 children, five sons and four daughters. All survive him except his youngest son, John Leonard who was killed in France during World War II.
Preceded in death by his parents one brother, James Andrew and three sisters, Sallie Bracelen, Mollie Sampson and Delia Reinhardt. One sister, Nora Faris also survives in Minneapolis, Minn.
