John “Jack” Beach, 98, of Greenwood, Mississippi, died Friday, February 21, 2020, in Memphis, Tennessee.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home with visitation 10 a.m. until service time. Rev. Eddie Carpenter will officiate. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton.

Mr. Beach was born May 7, 1921, in Attala County, Mississippi, to Jasper Beach and Lula Moore Beach. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Carpenter Beach and his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Turner of Horn Lake, MS, son, Roy Beach of Carrollton, Georgia, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Robert Wayne Carpenter, Mike Carpenter, Ryan Beach, Wayne Minyard, James Daves, and Ronnie Hamilton.

Military Rites will be conducted by Kessler-Hambrick-Gillespie American Legion Post #29.
