She rejoins her mother, Genevieve (nee Derickson) Hassell, her father, William Richardson, her infant son, David Hill, her sister Joan Oermann, her brother, Brian Richardson and her infant great-grandson, Hayden Getty.
Barbara was born October 14, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri. She is survived by her daughters Debbie (Jake) Head of Desloge, Cindy Ashlock of DeSoto, Paula Prentice of Festus, Holly Shanks of French Village, her son, Tim Ashlock of Tampa, Florida, her sister Nancy (the late Jerry) Williams of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren Jason (Angie) Head, Justin Head, Ashley (Seldon) Getty, Lauren (Chris Telle) Shanks, Kaitlynn Prentice; and great-grandchildren Emily, Chloe, Hailey, Ashdon, Natalie, Kyson, Jillian Chase, Melanie, Shalyn, and Kali.
Barbara loved reading her bible, spending time with her family and listening to gospel music""especially the Chuckwagon Gang and Elvis. She raised her children as a single mother, working two jobs, and retired as a sales associate and cashier for Walmart in Festus.
