She was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church. Born Jan. 1, 1889, in Milford, she was the daughter of john and Jessie Thomas Rush. She was married on Jan. 17, 1906, in Milford to William B. Lyon who died in 1978.
Survivors include a son, C. W. Lyon of Urbana; four sisters, Maude Hartman, Ruby Oltmanns and Dorothea Wixon, all of Milford, and Pearl Brown of Carmi; and a grandson.
A brother preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at 2 pm Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Barker Funeral Home in Milford with the Rev. Neil Larimore officiating. Organist Mrs. Paul Osborn accompanied Pat Deekin as she sang "How Great Thou Art".
Pallbearers were Ted Davis, Jim Cross, Robert Leitz, Alfred Leitz, Tom Cavitt and Jesse Keen. Burial was in the Sugar Creek Cemetery.
