Peggy was born on October 18, 1932 in Paron, Arkansas, to the late William Manuel and Maria Jane L. Burnett Wallace. Peggy met and married Ray Laverne Carr in 1948, when she was 16 years old. She retired from Franklin I.S.D. after 14 years of employment. She was of the Baptist faith. Peggy was a wonderful conversationalist. She had a way of making you feel at ease with her beautiful smile.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Carr; and second husband, James Dobbs.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Gideon and her husband, David, of Franklin; son, Carroll Carr and his wife, Lana, of New Baden; brothers, George Wallace and Ronnie Wallace, both of Benton, Arkansas; grandchildren, Michael White and Justin Carr; great-grandchildren: Caitlin White, Brendon White, Kelsey Gillard, Paylee White, Carter White, and Ethan Carr; and several nieces and nephews.
