Dr. Caleb Hyde (754), born at Lebanon, Conn., 6 Aug., 1765, second son of Gen. Caleb Hyde (145) and Elizabeth Sacket of Lenox, and afterwards of the Hyde settlement, was a great grandson of Samuel Hyde (4) of the third generation. He m. Rhoda Steele and was a
physician. They settled at Lenox, Mass., where he was a state senator. A few years previous to his death he removed to Stockbridge, Mass., to take charge of a bank at that place, where he d. 7 March, 1838, s.p. His widow d. 4 Jan., 1839, at Owego, K Y.
