Louis (Lewous on tombstone) was a son of Charles R. and Johanna Buddenhagen Schleuse. He was born in Ohio. One researcher has Sandusky, Huron Co, OH, but Sandusky is in Erie County and there is a Huron in Erie County. The family lived in Ottawa County, OH, in 1870 and moved to Ladore Township, Neosho County, KS, about 1876 near where Johanna's brother Christian Buddenhagen and family lived. Louis died at the age of 21, probably in Neosho County, KS.
