Anna Eliza Alderson Easley, 97, died April 11, 2016, at Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville, California. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016, at Pendleton Pioneer Chapel, Folsom-Bishop. Interment will be at Athena Cemetery.
Mrs. Easley was born May 17, 1918, in Drakes Creek, Arkansas, to Floyd and Carrie (Worley) Alderson. She attended school in Drakes Creek. On March 20, 1937, she married Floyd Edward Easley in Richland, Ark. In 1951, they moved to Los Angeles, Calif., and lived there until 1964, when they moved to Hesperia, Calif. In 2002, they moved to Adams, Ore., and later to Pendleton. For the past year, she has lived in Hesperia, Calif.
She was employed by Pacific Press in California for 18 years as a book binder and for 10 years as a hospital service worker at Victor Valley Hospital.
She was baptized into the Church of Christ as a teenager and was active in many church activities. She was a member of the Ladies Club in Adams and she enjoyed cooking and baking, canning, quilting and sewing. Anna always set a good example for all of us. She was a precious, Godly woman known to many as Grandma Ann.
Survivors include her sons Dwight (Pam) Easley of Hesperia, Calif., Mark (Ruth) Easley of Pendleton, Ore., and Elvis (Daylene) Easley of Las Vegas, Nev.; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd in 2005; brothers Carl Alderson, Lee Alderson and Eugene Alderson, and sister Irma Easley.
