Lorenzo Mervin Bartels was born of August 18, 1928 in Texoma, Texas County, Oklahoma. His parents are Edward Henry Bartels and Emma Wilheminia Sophia Bartels. He was the youngest of seven children. He married Nola E. Sutton on April 6, 1951, in Los Angeles, California. He died on October 16, 2019 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, at the age of 91.
He is survived by his wife, Nola Sutton Bartels of the home, two sons, Kenneth Wayne Bartels and wife, Brenda Joy of San Clemente, Orange County, California; Richard Lee Bartels of Lake Havasu City, Mohave County, Arizona and many Grandchildren and several Great-Grandchildren.
He retired from Northrup-Grumman in California where he had worked for a number of years.
Graveside services were held at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Los Angeles County, California on October 25, 2019 at 3p.m.
