Born April 9, 1922 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada to Adelbert J. and Bertha Bennett Kiddle. Died October 25, 2000 at home. She married her life long companion, William F. Handley on March 31, 1940, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
As an active LDS member she held many church positions in her life. She was also active in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and worked in the past with the Days of '47 Youth Parade Committee. Her talents were many and her heart and home were open to more than just her family. She and Bill served many years as missionaries for the LDS church at the Granite Mountain vaults.
Survivors include husband; two daughters, Kathy Steadman (Dale), Linda Andersen (Ray); two sons, W.F. Jr. (Kathy), Adelbert (Carrie); son-in-law, Dr. Lester J. Nielson; two sisters, Madge Diamond, Lois Young (Ken); one brother, Myron Kiddle (Joyce); also 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Blanch Kiddle, Lysle Clark; two brothers, Clifford, Wayne; and three children, Jackie Nielson, Kevin and Adele, who was stillborn.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday, Oct. 30, 2000 at 12 noon at Wilford Ward, 3179 Highland Drive. Friends may call at Memorial Estates, 5850 South 900 East, Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the church from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Road. Funeral Directors, Memorial Estates Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Primary Children's Neo Natal Care Center.
