Lorine Dickerson Bishop, 88, died Sunday February 9, 2020 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY.
A native of Brentsville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Dickerson and the late Edith Buckner Gaines. She was a retired housekeeper and a former employee of Hansley Mills. She was a member of the Seventh Street Christian Church, where she was involved in several activities and loved to garden. She loved her church and her family.
She is survived by three children, Tessa Hoggard, Rickey T. Bishop and Maceo T. Bishop; ten grandchildren; host of great grandchildren; one sister, Jessie M. Gaines and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, John W. “Buddy” Bishop, Jr., one grandson, Christopher Bishop; three brothers, John Thomas Dickerson, Sr., Russell Dickerson and George Gaines, Jr. and one sister, Johnetta Henderson.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday February 13, 2020 at the Evergreen Memory Gardens, 5364 Lexington Rd, Lexington, KY by Rev. William Garr.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday February 12, 2020 at the Seventh Street Christian Church, 122 W 7th St, Paris, KY.
Pallbearers will be Rev. Dr. Morgan Gilkey, Kerry Thomas, David Mack, David Hutsell, Mike Crutcher, Wallis Brooks and John Dickerson.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY 40361.
