Inez I. Smith, 89, of Washington, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, February 8, at the Villages of Oak Ridge. She was born on February 19, 1930 in Washington to Frank and Ulla(Goodwin)Dobbyn.

She graduated from Washington High School. She loved quilting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by five sons, David Wininger of Brazil, Doug(Janet)Wininger of Montgomery, Roger (Marsha)Wininger of Wheatland, Tony(Heather)Wininger of Holland and Dallas(Ellen)Kimmell of Spencer; three daughters, Charlotte McGuin of Champagne, Illinois, Marsha(Kurt)Cooley of sioux City, Iowa, and Pamela(Bob)Padgett of Washington; one sister, Valeria Yeager of Evansville; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Inez was preceded in death by her husband John Smith; her parents; two sisters, Helen Keller and Linus Fields; and three brothers, L. Richard Dobbyn, Everet Dobbyn and Arthur Dobbyn.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary Downtown Chapel with Yvonne Evans officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary Downtown Chapel.
