Shirley Marlene Boyer, age 83, of Belton, MO passed away at Village Hospice on February 4, 2020. She was born on April 28, 1936 in Arcadia, KS to Mary Allene and Milton A. McClendon. She attended 12 years of school in Arcadia, KS. Shirley worked 31 years for AT&T Lucent at Lees Summit, MO where she retired in August of 1991. She worked in many different areas. Shirley was a life time member of CWA Local 6360 and a life time member of Midwest Telephone Pioneers. She was a member of Belton Assembly of God since 1983. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother Darl, and sister Mona Dean. Shirley is survived by two sons, Morris Crosby and fiancée Jayne Coin, Belton MO, Monte Crosby and wife Pam, Peculiar MO; daughter, Natalie Johnston and husband Richard, Belton MO; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Shirley was saved on June 22, 1983 and received her Baptism in September 1983. Her favorite Verse was Naham 1:7 The Lord is good, a refuge in the day of trouble, and he knowth them that cherishes and trusts in him. Shirley asks for contributions to be made to Children’s Church at Belton Assembly of God. Shirley’s prayer has been that she will see her family and friends in heaven some day.
Visitation 11-Noon, Funeral Service 12:00 Noon Monday, February 10 at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 611 Chestnut, Belton. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Sheffield Cemetery, Arcadia KS.
