Andrew Paul McClendon, 90, passed away on January 28, 2020 at Research Hospital, in Kansas City, MO. He was born on April 19, 1929 in Kansas City, Kansas to Deanie McClendon and Lennie Mae McClendon. He grew up in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Lincoln High School. After high school he attended The University of Minnesota and the University of Berlin, Germany, where he received a teaching degree in education. He also became a Catholic Monk for 8 years. After he left the Monastery, he began work for many years. He retired in the late 90’s, and he also taught English Classes to foreigners in the area, he spoke 7 different languages. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was also preceded in death by his brother Clarence McClendon and his sister Evangelist Ricci Phillips, his uncle Samuel Rogers and aunt Marvene Jenkins. He is survived by his niece Beverly Harper, nephews Ronald, and Keith McClendon, great nieces Angela Jones, Tracie Williams (Kenneth), great nephew; Michael Foreman (Nikki), very close cousin Rynthia Rogers. And a host of cousins and relatives. His best friend Enrique, and many, many friends.
