"Mrs. AW Smith died at her home 6 1/2 miles north of Keytesville Monday, Sept 18 [1916]. Mrs. Smith had been in ill health for some months. During August she was in a hospital for treatment, returning home August 26. There was a steady decline from that time. Funeral services were conducted at Musselfork and the remains interred at Beulah Cemetery. The deceased's maiden name was Flora Jones, and she was born in Chariton county Sept. 8, 1870. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Jones, a well known family residing in the Musselfork Community. She is survived by her husband and four children and four brothers and a host of friends. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Baptist Church of Musselfork and lived a consistent Christian life. She had an abiding faith in the life beyond and her last request was that those near and dear meet her on that other shore."
