John was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Robert Sanders, and his brother, Jerome Pate Sanders. He graduated from Walterboro High School and the University of South Carolina and remained an avid Gamecock fan.
After retiring from the family farm, John, a talented artist, spent his days creating wonderful quirky works of art that delighted his friends and family.
He leaves his brother, Earl Sanders, his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Fran Sanders, and the love of his life Peggy Zeigler.
On Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at 10 a.m., the family will receive friends at Keith Smith Funeral Services, 128 Water St., Allendale, followed by a graveside service in the Swallow Savannah Cemetery at 11 a.m. Memorials may be sent to University of South Carolina at Salkehatchie, P.O.
