CUMBERLAND – Lillian (Robertson) McFarland, 97, of Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at the Lions Center.
Born on October 17, 1922, in Barton, MD, she was the daughter of the late George and Harriet “Hattie” (Preston) Robertson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Loren D. McFarland; two brothers, Charles and Randall Robertson, both of Barton; four sisters, Catherine Atkinson, FL, Alice Beeman, MI, Anna McCombs, Westernport, and Elizabeth Kyle, Barton.
Lillian enjoyed working in her flower beds and doing Thomas Kinkaid cross-stitch pictures. She also loved her visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Proctorville, OH. Mom enjoyed vacations at Deep Creek Lane, MD, and the Outer Banks, NC, with family and her friend, Norma Jean McKenzie.
Surviving are her daughter, Arlene Weasenforth and husband William, LaVale; son, Robert A. McFarland and wife Kendra, Proctorville, OH; granddaughter, Samalin Spurlock and husband Chris, Proctorville, OH; grandson, Matthew R. McFarland and wife Felicia Frances McFarland, Proctorville, OH; three great-grandchildren, Felishia McFarland, Robbie McFarland, and Brooke Spurlock, all of Proctorville, OH; and sister, Phyllis Stafford, MI.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, on Monday, February 10, 2020, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Doug Seaman officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
