Amelia married George Washington Compton in 1830 in Fauquier County, Virginia, son of George Compton and Sarah Duke. He was born April 4, 1810 in Culpeper County, Virginia, and died January 19, 1877 in Palmer, Christian County, Illinois age 66 years, 9 months, 15 days.He is buried here with Amelia.Two of their children were ; Melinda Compton Randles, she was born Christmas Day, December 25, 1830, in Coshocton County, Ohio; she died Christmas Day, December 25, 1870,in Nokomis, Montgomery County, Illinois at age 40 years. Coshocton was once the Delaware (Lenape) Indian Capital of United States.
Melinda married Thomas Randle/Randles,a son of Elizabeth (Chaney) and Abraham Randles Sr.
Her sister Martha Ann Compton Randles married Nathan Randle/Randles, (also a son of Elizabeth & Abraham Randles Sr.), in 1856 in Christian County, Illinois.
