Services for Henry George Labrum, 91, will he held at 11 a.m., today at the LDS Tenth Ward Chapel. Interment will follow at Cloverdale. Pallbearers will be Amos Belnap, V. L. Molen, J. Emer Harris, J. Harold Rich, J. S. Peterson and L. G. Nokelby. Friends may call at the Relyea Chapel until 10:30 a.m.

Death Takes H. G. Labrum, LDS Leader

Henry George Labrum, 91, of 3515 Rose Hill, pioneer Idaho resident and patriarch of the LDS West Boise Stake, died at his home Thursday after suffering a heart attack.
Mr. Labrum was born Oct. 19, 1870 at South Cottonwood, Utah and moved with his parents to Meadow Utah, where he received his elementary education. He also attended the Academy at Fillmore, Utah. Mr. Labrum served on a church mission in Oklahoma Territory from 1891 to 1892.
He married Sarah Emma Greenhalgh at Manti, Utah on Jan. 10, 1894 and the couple moved to Camas Prairie near Fairfield in 1900. He was chosen as the first presiding elder of the LDS Church at Fairfield, a position he held for seven years. Later the family moved with several others to a point six miles south of Fairfield where they established the town of Manard. There he homesteaded and farmed until 1915 when the family moved to Boise.
While at Manard he served as first counselor in the Bishopric of the Ward founded there. He was chosen a member of the Boise Stake High Council in 1916, a position he held for 20 years. He was ordained to the office of Stake Patriarch on Feb. 28, 1937, holding that position until the time of his death.
Mrs. Labrum preceded him in death in 1952.
Surviving are five daughters, Eva and Elva Labrum of Boise, Mrs. Emma Reading of Boise, Mrs. Zina Sheets of Ontario and Mrs. LeVon Holland of Burley; one son, Neil Labrum of Boise; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be announced by the Relyea Chapel.
