Arthur Thomas McGinty, M.D., was the son of Joseph J. McGinty and Mary Ann McGivney.
He married Mary E. Dougherty, daughter of James Dougherty and Catherine Harris, ca 1907; they were married until her death from influenza on October 26, 1918, during the 1918 flu epidemic. The couple had two children, a daughter and a son who were both born and who died in California, namely:
