Deceased Name: ARTHUR L. PIBURN

Arthur L. Piburn, 71, Gladstone, MO, passed away Monday, June 24, 2002, at Woodbine Care Center. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2002, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at D.W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arthur was born August 19, 1930, in Kansas City, KS. He moved to Gladstone in 1965. Arthur retired in 1985 as Captain of Detectives, Gladstone Police Dept. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary F. Piburn, on December 20, 1983. Survivors include four daughters, Jeannie Anderson, Kansas City, MO, Janice Moen, Raytown, MO, Karen Renfrow, Kansas City, MO, and Cathy Mortensen, Phoenix, AZ; two sons, John Piburn and David Piburn, both of the home; two brothers, Frank Piburn and Russell Piburn; sister, Margaret Berry; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
