(1881-1964)

Mrs. Mima Virginia Lewis, 82, of Sciotoville Rt. 2, died Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Harold Nelson, on Route 335 near Minford.

Mrs. Lewis had been in ill health 13 years.

She was born at Tannery in Lewis County, Ky., April 4, 1881, a daughter of Basil and Mary Greenslate Lewis. She was married May 2, 1901, at Tannery to Willie Arthur Lewis.

Surviving are her husband, who lives in Dayton; two sons, Otto Lewis of Columbus and Basil B. Lewis of Dayton; three daughters, Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Gertrude Goodwin of Vanceburg, and Mrs. Dorothy Piatt of Dayton; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, nine brothers and a daughter, Mrs. Nola Burton, who died June 17, 1957.

She was a member of Tannery Christian Church.

Funeral services are to be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Erwin-Dodson Funeral Home. Interment is to be in Bennett Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
