ELSA, TEXAS - September 3, 1956 - Harold P. Carter, 58, of Elsa died at Valley Baptist hospital in Harlingen Sunday night after a lingering illness.
He was a resident of the Elsa community for the past 30 years.
He is survived by two sons, Paul and Don Carter of Harlingen; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Carter, residing in Bremerhaven, Germany, where her husband is in the armed services; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Carter of Edcouch; two brothers, W. O. Carter of Edcouch and R. B. Carter of Elsa; and two sisters, Mrs. E. C. Thompson of Elsa and Mrs. L. B. Doshier of Edcouch.
Funeral services were to be at 4 p.m. today from Weldon Martin chapel in Weslaco with the Rev. Paul Terry, pastor of the Elsa Methodist church officiating. Burial was to be in Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
