Gloria Swan Young, age 83 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, June 18, 1936 in McMinnville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late B.F. Travis and the late Jessie Gilley Travis.

She was in the Central High School class of 1955, she worked and retired from Rockford Mills Inc. as an inspector.

Gloria is survived by her:
husband - Leslie "Dean" Young
2 daughters - Beverly L. Davenport and husband Jack
Brenda Whiles and husband Mark
2 grandchildren - Jason Fann and wife LaDonna
Rodney Whiles and wife Detra
5 great grandchildren - Jorden Dennis, Brittney Fann Daniel, Noah Fann and wife Delaney, Ashton Whiles, and Maggy Whiles
4 great great grandchildren - Spencer Daniel, Emma Fann, Londyn Dennis, and Easton Dennis
many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her two brothers Derrick Travis and Douglas Travis, and 2 sisters Betty Jordan and Gail Travis.

A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Rodney Whiles officiating. Interment will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Smartt, TN.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 PM on Monday, February 3, 2020, and again Tuesday from 8 AM to 1 PM at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 415 North Chancery St., McMinnville, Tennessee.
