Born in Michigan to Duane Reed Stuart and Emilie (Meddaugh) Stuart. Grandson of Elijah Meddaugh and Emilie (Maynard) Meddaugh of Detroit and the Rev. Reed Stuart and Helen (Soule) Stuart of Princeton, New Jersey. He resided with his parents in Princeton at the time of his death and was likely on summer holiday when his death occurred. It is unknown how he died.

Boy's Body Cremated

The body of 7-year-old Philip Meddaugh Stuart, grandson of the late Rev. Reed Stuart of the First Unitarian church, was incinerated at the Detroit crematorium yesterday. The boy was son of Prof. and Mrs. Duane Stuart of Princeton. Mrs. Stuart was formerly Miss Emilie Meddaugh of this city.
